Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you commit.
